Welcome to Holmlands B&B
Bed and Breakfast Lanarkshire, Crawford, Biggar
Verena and Graham would like to welcome you to an oasis of peace just off the M74 J14 in South Lanarkshire. We are situated in a quiet rural location convenient for visiting Scottish Borders, Lanark, Biggar and Moffat. Glasgow and Edinburgh are within an hours drive.
Built in 1903, this interesting Edwardian property sits in an acre of land surrounded by rolling hills of the Clyde Valley. It is such a great place for a short break any time of year.
Holmlands is an ideal location for an overnight stay to or from the Highlands and Islands. With direct access to the M74/M8 and the A702 Biggar to Edinburgh road. We are close to the Sustrans National Cycle network and is popular with cyclists breaking their journey from Lands End to John O Groats. We are also near to the Southern Upland Way and Tinto Hill so we provide a great centre for a variety of interesting walks
We welcome cyclists and motorcyclists, Holmlands is an ideal 'pit-stop' for cyclists on the Lands End to John O' Groats run and there is secure overnight parking for bicycles and motorbikes.
Pets are welcomed and in 2012 we are having heated dog kennels built so outside dogs can be safe and sound. We are also having a large poly tunnel built so we can supply all our own vegetables, salads and flowers. The new chicken run will hold enough hens for us to supply all our own eggs.
What we have available on site:
- Clay pigeon shooting with tuition
- Game shooting during season
- Fly fishing in the Clyde or loch fishing
- Beauty treatments in your room pre-ordered
